2018 Okere Falls STRONG Beerfest

Praise the monks! The Okere Falls Strong Beer Festival is back in true German style over Queen’s Birthday Weekend! Join us for an action packed night night of beer-tasting, bonfires, and live music Saturday, June 2nd from 5pm!

In winter, when it’s still too cold to enjoy a lager or pilsner, the beers of choice are dark, strong, malty & warming. These beers were first produced during the ‘Strong Beer Season’ (Starkbierzeit), a tradition begun by 17th century Paulaner monks brewing what they called ‘Holy Father Beer’ (Sankt Vater Bier).

For the best experience we recommend coming with a friend or two and tasting your way through our Strong Beer Passport including a stunning line-up of fantastic beers - dark and malty to flavour packed IPAs. Ciders and Wines and non-alcholic drinks will also be on sale.
